Our Programs
Our equine-assisted programs feature the presence and wisdom of the horse to facilitate emotional growth and healing.
Equine Assisted Therapy (EAT)
Equine Assisted Learning Adult Groups (EAL)
An experiential learning approach to confidence building, communication skills and capacity growth. While you still have the benefit of a licenced mental health professional, these sessions are aimed to build confidence and capacity in relationships. Ideally suited to people without the need for trauma counselling or support.
These sessions build people (and horse!) skills, physical and emotional capacity, self-awareness, boundary awareness, communication skills and more. Particularly beneficial for neurodivergent people (ADD, ADHD, ODD, and ASD) and those who need a little more agency in their own lives, these fun and interactive sessions can help bring out the very best of each of us with our equine helpers. Equine-assisted learning can help people can gain new skills and develop their internal growth and feelings of self-worth. Groups are no more than 8 people.
Childrens Group Equine Assisted Learning Days
An introduction to Equine Assisted Learning through horsemanship skills. Children will learn how to be around horses safely, groom, halter, catch and lead. Gain an understanding of the nature of these magnificent and peaceful creatures in a safe and supportive environment.
A terrific way to learn empathy and understanding for others, build relationships with others, and gain an appreciation of non-verbal communication, these activity days are great for kids to learn how to work in a team and develop relationships with new 2 and four legged friends. Note, no riding takes place, all activities are on the ground. Ideally suited for children aged between 7 and 12, no more than 6 in a group, sessions run for 2.5 hours.
Women’s Day Retreats
A special day run just for ladies, who would like to learn more about being their authentic self with horses and meet other like-minded individuals. As women we wear so many hats, partner, mother, daughter friend….. and each of these hats comes with a mask. Consummate organisers, from family budget, running the home, schooling support, and often paid work on top of all of this, we can be so busy looking after others we forget to take care of our own needs, or maybe we have even forgotten what they are.
This day retreat will invite you to remember that we need to listen to what our body is telling us, listen to what our needs are and act upon them in order to give the best of ourselves to those around us. A gentle and slow-paced day to immerse yourself in the energy of horses, take time to reflect and connect with these gentle and magnificent animals, who can read more into our true inner state than we can. You will leave with grounding and meditation techniques that you can carry into your everyday life and a deeper appreciation of your authentic self. Groups require a minimum of 4 people to run and can accommodate up to 8. The cost is $275 per person and includes a light lunch.
